Frank Lampard believes the Portuguese boss should have learnt his lessons from his time at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea star Frank Lampard believes that Andre Villas-Boas will be a better manager at Tottenham because of his experience at Stamford Bridge.
The Portuguese boss endured a nightmare spell in west London, winning less than half his matches in charge before being sacked in March, less than months after being appointed by the Blues.
“AVB didn’t do well at Chelsea but it was not for the want of anyone trying,” Lampard told The Sun.
“He wanted to succeed, he wanted to do it his way. But it just didn’t work. Not because of any battle between me and him, there was a lot more to it than that.
“That’s not necessarily a bad thing. Now maybe he will be a better manager, a better person for his experience at Chelsea.”
As another enthralling Premier League campaign comes to a close, it’s time to look at some of the men who made their mark.
