Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman believes that Wilfried Zaha can show what he can do on the big stage
Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman has backed Wilfried Zaha to shine at the London 2012 Olympics, if the 19-year-old is selected.
Stuart Pearce is could name his Team GB squad next week, after naming his three over-23 players on Thursday and the forward could be part of the side that bids to win Olympic gold in London.
“The Olympics are great for London and of course for us,” Freedman said.
“It’s a proud moment for the club to have Wilfried representing us as I strongly believe he can go all the way.
“He should be playing on these stages and would deserve the call up to the final squad if he gets it.”
Zaha has been linked with moves to Liverpool, Newcastle, Reading, Sunderland and West Ham in recent weeks.
