Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists the Gunners will not take newly-promoted Southampton lightly when they meet at the Emirates on Saturday.
Arsenal will be looking for their second win of the season against the Saints, who are without a point in their first three games.
But Wenger says he was impressed by them in their battling defeats to Manchester City and Manchester United and says he is aware of the threat they can pose.
“They were impressive in the two games I’ve seen,” Wenger told Arsenal’s official website.
“The one against Man City and the one against Man United.
“In the end you wondered how they lost both games, so we are on alert because we know it is a team who plays with a positive attitude and can score goals.”
The Brisbane Road-based club are hopeful permission for a review will be granted after oral hearing.
