Transfer news: Arsenal have not made a bid for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha but manager Arsene Wenger is interested in bringing him to north London.
The Eagles ace has been tipped for a switch to the Premier League, with Manchester United thought to be leading the chase to sign him in the summer.
But the 20-year-old, who made his full England debut last year, is a fan of the Gunners so Wenger has thrown his hat in the ring.
“We are looking at him, but at the moment we have not made any bid for him,” he said.
“I don’t know if Manchester United are in for him.
“Anyway, if you call any club for any player, they will tell you Man Utd, Milan, Real Madrid are as well in for him, but it is always difficult to know if it is true or not.”
However, the Arsenal boss was quick to dismiss any links to Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.
The 34-year-old is Chelsea’s all-time second top goalscorer but his contract expires at the end of the campaign and the Blues are prepared to let him leave.
Wenger, however, says he won’t be trying to recruit the Lampard, saying: “No as we have young players in midfield.”
