Danny Welbeck paid tribute to Theo Walcott

Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck hailed Arsenal star Theo Walcott after the Gunners forward provided his matchwinner for England against Sweden.

The 23-year-old came off the bench after 60 minutes to score the equaliser and with 12 minutes left teed up Welbeck for the winner.

“We know the ability that Theo has and it’s right across the squad,” Welbeck told the BBC. “We’re delighted for Theo.”

Welbeck was understandably delighted after his goal won it for his country.
