Anders Limpar believes that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is going to be a great player
Former Arsenal winger Anders Limpar has believes that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s biggest asset is his mental strength.
The 18-year-old forward has gone from playing for Southampton at Dagenham & Redbridge to starting for England against France at Euro 2012.
“He’s very fast, and what I like with him is the fact he’s very strong in his head,” Limpar told the Official Arsenal Magazine.
“He’s not affected with some things that can influence young players like him.
“For example, if Arsène Wenger takes him off at half-time, or leaves him on the bench for the whole game after he previously had a perfect match, he keeps his focus and plays with the same form.
“Nothing breaks his confidence. With a strong head like that, I think he’s going to be great player.”
Yaya Sanogo says a meeting with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was enough to persuade him to snub a move to Lille and join the Gunners instead.
