The new Russia boss will work out how to deal with Andrey Arshavin

New Russia manager Fabio Capello has hinted that Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin may lose the captaincy after a breakdown in the relationship with the fans.

The forward appeared to blame the fans after his side’s exit from Euro 2012 but it is not known how the it emerged on video and has been the subject of fierce criticism from supporters.

“I’m trying to work out what led to this dislike from the fans,” Capello said.

“I should get to know Arshavin, to understand how this situation arose between him and the fans and then talk about the captain’s armband.”
