Gary Neville has tipped four young players to force their way into Roy Hodgson’s side in the future
England coach Gary Neville has backed Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, Tottenham’s Kyle Walker, Manchester United’s Chris Smalling and Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge to make their mark on the Three Lions in the coming years.
None of the quartet are in the Euro 2012 squad, largely because of injury but the Manchester United legend believes they will make an impact in the not too distant future
“There are young players to come,” Neville said.
“(Jack) Wilshere, (Kyle) Walker, (Chris) Smalling, (Daniel) Sturridge, and we would like to see more.
“They will get their opportunity in this next couple of years.
“We know that the manager talks about them and wants to bring them in.”
