Transfer news: Benik Afobe will not be moving to the Midlands
Birmingham manager Lee Clark has poured cold water on rumours that Benik Afobe will be joining the club.
The pair worked together, with some success, at Huddersfield but the new Blues boss is happy with his strike options at the moment.
“I guess there’s bound to be speculation as he’s someone I had at Huddersfield Town,” Clark told the Birmingham Mail.
“And Benik’s a good player who has got quality.
“But I have four fantastic strikers at the club at the moment. We have Peter Lovenkrands, Marlon King, Adam Rooney and Nikola Zigic, and also Jake Jervis.
“So we’re well stocked up and there isn’t that need to bring another one in.”
