Transfer news: Lucas Biglia has reportedly been identified by Arsenal as a potential replacement to the departing Alex Song
Anderlecht’s Lucas Biglia has put Arsenal on alert by saying he would consider leaving the Belgian side if a bigger club come calling.
The Argentina international has been linked with a move to Arsenal since it became clear that Alex Song would leave the club for Barcelona.
European giants Real Madrid and Inter Milan have also expressed an interest in the defensive midfielder, who says it would take a big club to prise him from Anderlecht.
“I can leave for €8million in the current market, and that is quite a lot of money - but I agreed to this transfer fee myself so I can’t really complain,” he said.
“There are clubs ready to pay that amount but they are not better than Anderlecht so for now I focus on this club. I want to at least be playing in Europe.
“I think we could really do something in the Champions League too this year. So there are many challenges left here.”
