Wojciech Szczesny believes he will be selected to face the Czech Republic
Arsenal star Wojciech Szczesny is confident he will be handed a starting spot for Poland’s game against the Czech Republic on Saturday night.
The Gunners stopper was sent off in his country’s opening game against Greece after he denied…. A clear goalscoring opportunity and conceded a penalty.
His replacement Przemyslaw Tyton saved the spot kick and then had a good game against Russia on Wednesday.
“The manager decides,” Szczesny said. “I’m ready, I’m confident, so I hope he’ll choose me. This is the beauty of sport, you want to fight for your spot.”
Franciszek Smuda will make his decision today who plays in tomorrow’s crunch game.
“I will make my decision 24 hours prior to the match. Both goalkeepers have their strong points,” he said.
As another enthralling Premier League campaign comes to a close, it’s time to look at some of the men who made their mark.
