Aaron Ramsey believes Arsenal are “short of numbers” for the new season.
The Welshman has been in impressive form for the Gunners in recent weeks and scored twice in last night’s victory over Fenerbahce at the Emirates.
Ramsey has no doubts over the quality in the Arsenal team but he hopes manager Arsene Wenger will bring in new faces in what remains of the transfer window.
“We have a lot of quality in the team, even if we are short of numbers,” he told ITV1.
Arsenal lost forward Lukas Podolski to a hamstring injury last night and Ramsey admits they need more bodies in order to rotate their starting line-up.
“Maybe that’s what teams like Manchester City and Man United have done over the last few years as they can rotate,” he said. “Maybe we are a bit short on that.
“But we have a lot of quality and hopefully one or two additions will strengthen us and mean that we are able to rotate.”
