Ian Wright hopes the Frenchman has more success than the Morrocan
Arsenal legend Ian Wright is hopeful that Gunners new boy Olivier Giroud has more success in the Premier League than Marouane Chamakh has had.
The Morrocan has only scored eight Premier League goals in 40 appearances for the north Londoners and Wright, who once held the record for goals scored, hopes that the former Montpellier man does not suffer in the same way as Chamakh.
“Striker Olivier Giroud has arrived from Montpellier for £13m and is another player who has done well in France,” Wright told The Sun.
“But I just hope his impact is better than Marouane Chamakh who came from Bordeaux, started well and then fizzled out.”
As another enthralling Premier League campaign comes to a close, it’s time to look at some of the men who made their mark.
