Theo Walcott insists that he is fit to start for England on Sunday in their Euro 2012 quarter final against Italy on Sunday
Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has insisted that he has fully recovered from the slight injury he had that could have ruled him out of England’s final Group D game with Ukraine.
The 23-year-old had felt a tightness in his hamstring during the group phase but is now fully fit and is ready to take on Italy, whether he plays or not.
“I had that little injury setback. I kept on playing and training and pulled it in the end so I thought, during training, I’d have to sit it out for a while,” he said.
“But I’m ready to go. I’d do anything for this team — from the start or the bench.
“It’s nice to be part of it and there’s still a lot more to come.”
