Theo Walcott believes Wayne Rooney is desperate to have an impact at the European Championship
Arsenal star Theo Walcott believes that Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is desperate to make an impact on Euro 2012.
The Red Devils frontman missed the first two games at the tournament due to a suspension picked up for his red card in Montenegro during qualifying but is available for England’s final Group D game against Ukraine on Tuesday.
“I am sure Wayne will get his opportunity,” Walcott said.
“He’ll want to make up for time he’s missed.
“He will want to make it up to all of the lads. He is such a world-class player.
“It would be tough to leave him out but that’s the manager’s decision. We’ll see what happens.”
