Gael Clichy has no regrets after trading London for Manchester
Manchester City star Gael Clichy believes that he was right to move from the Emirates Stadium to the north west.
The French full back moved in July 2011 and ended the season with his second Premier League winners medal, adding to the one he won with the Gunners in their ‘invincible’ season in 2004.
“It’s funny, but I am a vastly different player this year since I moved to City,” mused Clichy.
“In my head, it is a turning point in my career. I wanted to see where it could take me. I do not regret it for a moment, as I have gained in self-confidence.
“It has been 10 years that I have played in the Premier League, which is not bad.
“I am champion of England and that is important in the life of a player, one feels stronger.”
As another enthralling Premier League campaign comes to a close, it’s time to look at some of the men who made their mark.
