Band created record at ExCeL hotel while watched on web

Royal Docks-based ExCeL Aloft London hotel was the centre of a quick-fire musical milestone last week when Belguim band Sky Castles wrote, recorded and released a brand new song called ‘A Little Bit of Feel’ in just 12 hours, with fans watching the live stream on Facebook.

Working with US indie duo We Are Scientists, Sky Castles were winners of an innovative music competition launched by Aloft Hotels to find “the hottest unsigned band.”

In all 27 bands performed gigs at the hotel chain in London, Brussels and Abu Dhabi

We Are Scientists said of the gig: “What a night! The show set a new benchmark for how a performance should go.

The track is now available to download from the Aloft Facebook page at http://bit.ly/aloft-live.
