When the UK’s tallest sculpture plays host to lego models of the Eiffel Tower, Empire State Building and a new model of the BT Tower being just a few of the designs on display at the exhibition.
All designed by professional LEGO artist Warren Elsmore, who returned to the Stratford-based sculpture, after success with his exhibition last Easter half-term.
Warren Elsmore said: “We’re really looking forward to returning to the ArcelorMittal Orbit again this year for Bricks in the Sky. “It’s one of the most exciting venues to bring a LEGO exhibition to.”
On the day, Warren will be building London’s skyline from lego live, inspired and just from looking out on the views from the Orbit.
“This year we’ll be showcasing some of our favourite London landmarks all built in LEGO as well as live building what we can see from the viewing gallery.
“I’m really excited to see what creations the visitors will build to add to our skyline too, the imagination of Londoners never ceases to amaze us.”
The best creations over the week-long exhibition will be included in Warren’s final construction of the London skyline and there will be one late night opening at the exhibition on Friday, April, 8.
With exhibition open and running from 10am to 6pm everyday from Saturday, April 2 until Sunday, April 10.
