Club Asia looks for the X factor
at the East London Mela 2008 on
Sunday 3rd August

It is hard to imagine A R Rahman or Adnan Sami as an unknown artist. And yet at one point of time they all were. Until that one person, who had faith in their abilities gave them their first break.
Club Asia 963 and 972 AM - has always believed in supporting unsigned artists and giving them that platform to showcase their talent.  And its recent involvement with the East London Mela, re-enforces this fact.
Club Asia’s Mr. Kay is taking his Smackdown (battle of the unsigned artists) to the East London Mela. The Mela has always attracted thousands of people and if you want yourself to be heard by the mass, then this is your chance. What do you need to do? Write a song with a summer Mela theme and submit it to Club Asia.
One winner each week will be selected by public voting. And at the end of three weeks, these winners will battle against each other and the top two will get the opportunity to perform at the East London Mela on August 3 at Barking Park – where Jazzy B, Juggy D, Imran Khan  will also be performing.
The one with the maximum cheers will be not only be play listed on Mr Kay’s show  for an entire week but will also be interviewed  by Mr Kay himself weekdays 7pm to 10pm .
You can also catch your favourite Club Asia presenters live in action at the
East London Mela. It will be hosted by Club Asia’s Breakfast Presenter Missy D, Shak from Your Big Drive Home, Schehzad from Backstage and Early Breakfast presenter Zyleen.
And don’t forget to put your dancing shoes on because Mr. Kay and Middleman will be doing a DJ set at the Mela.
