Leg is snapped during mugging

POLICE are hunting two men after a mugging in Forest Gate in which the victim was pinned to the ground and had one of his legs broken.

He was attacked as he walked along Woodgrange Road, opposite Wanstead Park Station.

The victim was pinned down by the muggers who stood on his legs. The crooks, having taken his mobile phone, fled into the Moore Walk estate.

A man and a woman ran over to the victim to help. He needed an operation at Whipps Cross Hospital.

His attackers are in their late teens to early 20s. One is described as black, 6ft 3ins, and of athletic build. He wore a white hooded top with blue piping down the sides and dark tracksuit bottoms.

His accomplice is a light-skinned black man, 5ft 8ins, with facial hair, and wore a dark hooded tracksuit top and light tracksuit bottoms. The mugging took place at 9.10pm on February 10.
